SPACE Gallery presents its third annual Polaroid fundraiser! It's a way for us to celebrate our favorite fun film and ask a variety of friends to donate a creative work to support our nonprofit art space. (Check out some of last year's entries here.) Our goal is to have great work for sale without asking too much of the donors. Donating can be as simple as dropping a Polaroid in the mail--we’ll take care of the matting, framing and hanging of the work. The auction will be Friday, June 6, 2008 from 6-8pm at SPACE Gallery. We’ll accept any Polaroid format, but if your print requires unusual presentation (because of size, etc), please give us a call to discuss before mailing. Our budget for framing is small, and we expect that the bulk of the submissions will be fairly standard and easy to deal with. We often find cameras at local thrift shops and film at our neighborhood chain pharmacy or grocery store. If you need a camera, we'll be happy to loan one.
