| First Friday: Light in the Dark | Light In the Dark is a group show of works in sculpture, photography, video, new media and performance. Working with light as a medium, the artists had each discovered that it is inherently ethereal, barely there, dreamy, and suggestive of spirit beyond form--yet always seeking form to define itself.. As a result, the show examines how the 15 artists have captured and pinned down light to form. Works include illuminated photography or night lights, projection onto mist or ice, and a three dimensional painting on plexi-glass. Most use electricity, some use humor, and some respond to war. The show runs from January 7 to February 25. 5p-9p, free, All ages | ||||||||
