| Barefoot Gen | In remembrance of the US bombing of the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, weíre showing this autobiographical Japanese anime film. It tells the story of a young boy who survives the Hiroshima bombing. The film is based on a book of the same nameóone of the Gen series, a classic anti-war manga written and drawn by Hiroshima survivor Keiji Nakazawa. 7:30p, free, All ages | ||||||||
| First Friday: Kyle Durrie and Mia Capodilupo | Kyle Durrieís work inhabits marginal landscapes, industrial zones and highways. Her drawings are fragile arrangements of lines that open up onto quiet and empty worlds. Mia Capodilupoís explores the simultaneous human desire for and intense fear of intimacy.
