Kyle Durrieís work inhabits marginal landscapes, industrial zones and highways. Her drawings are fragile arrangements of lines that open up onto quiet and empty worlds. This show will feature numerous small works and a large installation. Elephant Micah plays a lo-fi Americana that rests on the honesty of pure music, which is simply played and solidly delivers good lyrics. Taking musical cues from Leonard Cohen, Justin Vollmar plays a similar melodic, fingerpicked, nylon-stringed guitar. He sings in a quaint falsetto or whisper, often drenched in reverb that reflects his and his leading manís apparent shyness. 8:30p, $5, All ages | ||||||||
| Speedo | Speedo is a feature verite documentary about the promising racing career and troubled family life of Ed "Speedo" Jager, one of the nation's top demolition derby drivers. The film captures Speedo's collisions and confrontations on and off the track during one tumultuous year, beginning during the summer racing season at Long Island's Riverhead Raceway and culminating at the National Demolition Derby Championship in Fellsmere, Florida. 80 min. 7p, $5 sug., all ages | ||||||||

| Ghostly Records Presents: Matthew Dear, Dabrye, and Dykehouse | A Ghostly Records showcase: Matthew Dearís most recent excursions have found him at the doorsteps of the minimal-but-funky regime of techno music. Dabrye (pronounced ìdab-reeî, creates head-nodding beats with saw-tooth bass lines that explore hip-hop forms with a keen eye to forward-thinking production and rhythms. Dykehouse is a genius amalgamation of guitar rock and bedroom programming, combining shoegazer, pop, funk and IDM into a sum-is greater-than-its-parts mix. 8:30, $6, All ages | ||||||||
| Growing | Growing plays in a variety of settings and contexts, from art gallery to hardcore all-ages shows, most recently as a project for continuous two channel video and multichannel sound installation with Lisa Darms.
