The fifth annual Coaxial Festival will consist of two evenings of uncontrollable performance art; artists of all sorts converge upon SPACE and work to command, distract, and trample your attention. The musicians and the audience will be subjected to performance art executed in the name of spontaneity. Admission itself will be worth the price of admission. Thursday's performance features Mark Schwaber, formerly of the Northampton outfit Hospital, combing guitar with his haunting voice; The Water Section, whose melancholic experiments focus on atmosphere and infection, accompanied by brash and clever sounds; Jose Ayerve, from Spouse, combines atypical vocal stylings with the Mexican "rock en Espanol" movement. |
