Join Kesho Wazo as they bring a new sense of urban youth culture to the city of Portland by showcasing their vibrant talents, through performance arts, fashion, a pop-up shop, short films and the release of their ‘idea chart’ which outlines their plans and summer schedule.

Featuring a heavy wave of new sound from local artists, performances by Zaya, Julian Abbott, Griot, and local female rockstar Emma Ivy. Instrumental beats during the runway by producer Shadia & Charle (Leap) and DJ’s Iman and Soren holding the event together.  And films from Henry Spritz and a documentary trailer by Erin Murphy.

Kesho Wazo, is a youth art collective, which means ‘ tomorrow's ideas’ in Swahili. Kesho Wazo was designed to be an outlet for young people to express themselves creatively through art, music, fashion, and social advocacy. The group is comprised of 15 high energy members with high ambitions to break every box that society places young people in and write history in their own words.

In a time where the world is looking for light, this youth art collective brings high energy through fashion.
