Ethel ‘Flash’ Concert

“Vital and brilliant” (The New Yorker), ETHEL invigorates contemporary concert music with refreshing exuberance, fierce intensity, and exceptional artistry. ETHEL stops in at SPACE for an informal pop-up concert in advance of their full Portland Ovations performance “Present Beauty” – a performance anchored by an arrangement of Philip Glass’ haunting and hypnotic score to the film The Hours – at Hannaford Hall on the USM Portland campus the following day. Presented by Portland Ovations, this is a unique and intimate chance to check out ETHEL and raise a glass to composer Philip Glass who celebrates his 75th birthday this week.
